China Mobile and China Unicom want the iPhone Exclusive
This is likely to become a bidding war were only one carrier is going to deliver the iPhone to a very large country, and this leaves Steve Jobs at a very good position to decide, what partner can be more profitable. Maybe have a deal with both carriers with such a large market? - MacDailyNews

Lock or not to Unlock that´s the Question

The cat and mouse battle officially started and this is Apple posture against iPhone unlocking.
CUPERTINO, Calif., Sept. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Apple has discovered that many of the unauthorized iPhone unlocking programs available on the Internet cause irreparable damage to the iPhone’s software, which will likely result in the modified iPhone becoming permanently inoperable when a future Apple-supplied iPhone software update is installed. Apple plans to release the next iPhone software update, containing many new features including the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store (www.itunes.com), later this week. Apple strongly discourages users from installing unauthorized unlocking programs on their iPhones. Users who make unauthorized modifications to the software on their iPhone violate their iPhone software license agreement and void their warranty. The permanent inability to use an iPhone due to installing unlocking software is not covered under the iPhone’s warranty.
Don’t worry, its all okay and cool. You just need to stay away from the firmware update. Who needs the WiFi Music Store? Only Apple needs it so he can make money!
Just don’t update your firmware and you are good to go. Or there is another way you can follow, but you need to wait until next week, because the iPhone Dev Team is coding a tool which will be able to recover your nck counter and seczones that enables you to restore your phone to a Factory-like state. That’s pretty uhu?
If you have an unlocked iPhone my advice is to stay away from the firmware update, and wait for a solution, that I will inform here. It may be convenient to subscribe to my feed so you can get updates on the brand that you love and hate.

O2 Official iPhone Carrier On UK

O2 is the carrier of choice for the iPhone on the United Kingdom. The iPhone will arrive on Novembrer 9.
The price of the 8GB iPhone is going to be £269 ($535 USD) including VAT. Carphone WhareHouse is going to distribute the iPhone in the UK with over 1300 retail stores. Visual Voicemail is going to be enabled too. Unlimited Data with £35, £45, £55 plans. You are going to Activate the iPhone on iTunes just like you do on AT&T.
Guess what?
No 3G yet, only EDGE, but O2 made an arrangement with TheCloud.net to put over 7500 Free WiFi hotspot in the UK for the iPhone. This event only covers the UK and later they are going to announce other carrier arrengements.
The reason the iPhone is not getting 3G Network Compatibility is because this according to Steve Jobs:
“The 3G chipsets are real power hogs. Handset battery life cuts power to 2-3 hours. Our phone has a talk time of 8 hours and that’s really important when you want to use your phone for internet and music. 3G needs to get back up to 5+ hours, something we think well see later next year. … WiFi is way faster than any 3G network. Energy efficient EDGE with better, faster WiFi. That’s why we chose it.”
The iPhone Ads on the United Kingdom are going to be the same as the United States but with a British voiceover. And Instead of Showing the New York Times they are showing The Guardian.
Maybe while Steve Jobs is on Europe is going to announce the T-Mobile deal in Deutschland, right?
Update:Maybe tomorrow they are going to announce the T-Mobile or Vodafone deal on Germany. Then on Thursday the turn its for France, and T-Mobile or Orange are candidates.

Steve Jobs: Thank You Fan Boys

Steve Jobs announced that he is going to compensate the early adopters that bought the iPhone. Apple have decided to offer to every iPhone customer who purchased an iPhone from either Apple or AT&T, a $100 store credit towards the purchase of any product at an Apple Retail Store or the Apple Online Store.
This is a great surprise for all of us, and reflects the kind of company that Apple is. Apple takes care of their Fan Boys with a lot of respect, and that’s a good thing because Apple is in great debt with their loyal customers. They are the people that spread the word on Apple products and success of the company.
Remember when the iPod was launched, the early adopters got in the iPod wagon and spread the viral iPod fever.
Well, that why Steve Jobs reacted this way. Saying “Thank You†and there you have your $100 in any Apple Product you like.
This is probably going to raise sales, of the new line of products.
I was going to buy a new 4GB iPhone in the little break I had last week. But thanks to AT&T that didn’t happen. I forgot to tell the guy that the iPhone was a present for someone that had AT&T, but well, things happen for a reason and that reason being the $200 price cut.
I leave you the link of the letter Steve Jobs sent to the public.
According to Fake Steve he wanted to give back more but the board voted against him. ![]()
