Steve Jobs: Thank You Fan Boys

steveiphone.jpg
Steve Jobs announced that he is going to compensate the early adopters that bought the iPhone. Apple have decided to offer to every iPhone customer who purchased an iPhone from either Apple or AT&T, a $100 store credit towards the purchase of any product at an Apple Retail Store or the Apple Online Store.

This is a great surprise for all of us, and reflects the kind of company that Apple is. Apple takes care of their Fan Boys with a lot of respect, and that’s a good thing because Apple is in great debt with their loyal customers. They are the people that spread the word on Apple products and success of the company.

Remember when the iPod was launched, the early adopters got in the iPod wagon and spread the viral iPod fever.

Well, that why Steve Jobs reacted this way. Saying “Thank You” and there you have your $100 in any Apple Product you like.

This is probably going to raise sales, of the new line of products.

I was going to buy a new 4GB iPhone in the little break I had last week. But thanks to AT&T that didn’t happen. I forgot to tell the guy that the iPhone was a present for someone that had AT&T, but well, things happen for a reason and that reason being the $200 price cut.

I leave you the link of the letter Steve Jobs sent to the public.

To all iPhone customers

According to Fake Steve he wanted to give back more but the board voted against him. :)

Can you imagine if Microsoft creates an iPhone Competitor?  :P

Well it should be written “iPhone Competitor”. Microsoft has to copy a great device because they can’t conceive the idea (Zune/iPod).

Top 10 iPhone Concepts

Do you remember when all the speculation behind the iPhone was going on? Some of the questions were:

  • How is it going to look?
  • How much is going to cost?
  • What color should Apple use?
  • Touch-screen or Buttons?
  • Is it going to be 3G or EDGE?
  • What Carrier is going to give the Service?
  • The iPhone is going to look like an iPod?

Well, we now know all the specifications about the iPhone. It´s interesting to look back and see what concepts were the more accurate, and maybe better than the actual design (is going to be hard  ). We are now speculating about the new iPod, primarily we have the same type of questions and that heats up spectation about this revolutionary music device. But I found some iPhone Prototypes/Concepts that you could like better than the actual design.

This is my favorite

“Instead” It shows that is better to have a All-in-one device instead of an iPod and a mobile phone.

“Amazing” show that, you can have all your precious things ( music, emails, phone etc)

Small is the new big

The guys over at 37signals comment about how Apple´s design language keeps evolving, with the influence of their small devices.

The widescreen iPod influenced the previous iMac Design. It looks like a Giant iPod!

btw - i am on a 20″ iMac like this shown below.

The new iPhone is a great influence over the new iMac. The back part of the iMac is similar to the iPhone back.

The new keyboard is similar to the one on the MacBook´s. Apple success is in great part because they focus on every detail, and i think their philosophy is “less is more”, here is an example.
