Well that guy is selling a 4GB Unlocked iPhone on Ebay. GeoHot the author of this hardware unlock is selling this iPhone to buy a car and iPhones for the contributors of the Unlocking. They are cheaper methods for unlocking your iPhone that’s sure but as Geohot says it’s only for having the second unlocked iPhone. Just to have a piece of mobile device history

I think that many bids on the auctions were fraudulent and inflated the price a little bit.

Finally…First Full-Software iPhone unlock

This took more than expected, but today the iPhone goes international. Yes you can now unlock your iPhone and use it with the carrier of your preference (in any country).

Engadget informed that a team of six people worked to get this software ready for the masses.

This is a Full-Software Unlock that is going to be commercial, to payoff all the effort invested in this little software. This software is upgrade and restore resistant, that means that even if you restore/upgrade your iPhone to a new firmware the unlock is still functional. It has been tested with the 1.0.2 firmware.

The team of iPhone SIM Free.com did this naughty thing. They are officially the first to break Apple´s SIM locks on the iPhone with software. Lets see what is the effect on iPhone sales with this little software release. Go and buy some Apple stocks

Upcoming iPhone Software Unlock

The iPhone Dev Team figured out some new ways to unlock the iPhone. Not Just with the Turbo Sim Method can be accomplished, but with other methods like soldering some part of the phone, this with a high probability of a bricked phone. After the Phone is unlocked all the hardware can be removed.

We are all specting a software unlock, and the author of this video says that soon they will be one without having to buy a $89 dollar Turbo Sim. Lets wait, and see.

This video shows his Unlocked iPhone using a T-Mobile sim card. He calls to his house without using AT&T. So lets see, how this Software Unlock comes out.

Top 10 iPhone Concepts

Do you remember when all the speculation behind the iPhone was going on? Some of the questions were:

How is it going to look?
How much is going to cost?
What color should Apple use?
Touch-screen or Buttons?
Is it going to be 3G or EDGE?
What Carrier is going to give the Service?
The iPhone is going to look like an iPod?

Well, we now know all the specifications about the iPhone. It´s interesting to look back and see what concepts were the more accurate, and maybe better than the actual design (is going to be hard ). We are now speculating about the new iPod, primarily we have the same type of questions and that heats up spectation about this revolutionary music device. But I found some iPhone Prototypes/Concepts that you could like better than the actual design.

Unlocked iPhone in Hong Kong

Hong Kong is the Mecca of mobile phones and now we know that the iPhone is sold in Hong Kong 100% Unlocked. In this picture the iPhone is shown with a Hong Kong Carrier CSL, not AT&T. They say that it´s totally functional calls, SMS, Edge. Everything works just fine.They did it with the Turbo Sim Card Method

The Best iPhone app: Facebook On The iPhone

Well at least by now. Facebook has launched a version of the site for the iPhone.

But this app is really good. I think the iPhone app is better than the main site. Here are some pics.

They are various visualization options, like the Grid view, Mosaic, Carousel and Slide show. The best visualization option is Carousel, its like CoverFlow, and similar to how you navigate through pics in the iPhone.

Small is the new big

The guys over at 37signals comment about how Apple´s design language keeps evolving, with the influence of their small devices.

The widescreen iPod influenced the previous iMac Design. It looks like a Giant iPod!

btw - i am on a 20″ iMac like this shown below.

The new iPhone is a great influence over the new iMac. The back part of the iMac is similar to the iPhone back.

The new keyboard is similar to the one on the MacBook´s. Apple success is in great part because they focus on every detail, and i think their philosophy is “less is more”, here is an example.
